Edinburgh Kiltwalk
Kiltwalks are vibrant mass participation walking events that raise much-needed funds for Scottish charities. Every year our physical events bring together Kiltwalkers to iconic Scottish locations and our virtual events welcome walkers to complete a challenge of their choice in order to fundraise for a Scottish Charity.
Kiltwalkers can raise funds for any Scottish charity they choose and thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation, all funds raised are topped up by 50%*. Every penny raised goes directly to their chosen charity.
Since 2016, our Kiltwalk Heroes have raised an astonishing £29 million for over 2,600 Charities in Scotland.
You can fundraise for any registered charity in Scotland with the Kiltwalk. For inspiration, you can browse through the registered charity lists on the OSCR website or take a look at some example charities below.
If you choose to walk for the Kiltwalk, every penny you raise, plus the 50% top up* from The Hunter Foundation will be donated to the STV Children’s Appeal, who will distribute it to projects helping children all over Scotland.
If you haven’t taken on a Kiltwalk yet, now is the time to become a Kiltwalk hero!
*The 50% fundraising top up limit for this current year 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022 is £5000 per walker or donor. This is a cumulative limit for all Kiltwalk events in the above period. All fundraising top ups are subject to deadlines and Trustee approval
